BEATRICE – A Beatrice-based motorcycle riding group has been granted permission by the City to have a motorcycle show at Charles Park this summer, on July 14th.   The city council approved the permit through the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce, which allows merchandise to be sold on city-owned property.

Vinny D’Andrea is with the Lords of Ventus group.

The event from seven a.m. until 4 p.m. would include an afternoon motorcycle run from Beatrice to Hebron, and back.  Attorney Jim Nelson with the Beatrice Chamber says Ventus members assisted last year with the Homestead Days celebration and discussions between the organizations led to the idea for a separate motorcycle show in July.

D’Andrea says proceeds from the event will be donated.
