Overnight Armed Robbery Investigated by Beatrice Police

BEATRICE – Beatrice Police are investigating the midnight armed robbery of a local convenience store.

:19                  “no one was injured”

Chief Bruce Lang says police believe it was a white male who robbed the convenience store located along the west side of South 6th.  Lang says there is a rough description of a vehicle used.

There was no license plate number obtained from the vehicle. Police are reviewing video surveillance from the store and obtaining information from the clerk on duty.

Lang says there is a video depiction of the car driving up to the store and the suspect entering the business.    The chief says the robber was in the store only a few minutes.

He says a small amount of money was taken, but no merchandise.  The amount of money stolen has not been disclosed.   Lang says police could not determine through the video surveillance if anyone else was in the car.
