One Man Cited, After Police Respond to West Beatrice Altercation

BEATRICE – Beatrice Police called to a disturbance at a convenience store last night, cited a male suspect about a block away from the scene.

Chief Bruce Lang says police officers were summoned to the West Court Street Casey’s General Store, on a report of an intoxicated man.

The man was cited near KWBE Radio.   Lang identified the man cited as 27-year-old Jonathan Dawson.  No weapon apparently was involved in the incident.

Neither man involved in the dispute had injuries.  Lang says a clerk and a few customers were in the store at the time police were sent there, at around nine p.m.  Dawson was ticketed for third degree assault.
