FAIRBURY – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was called to an area just outside the city limits on Saturday for a reported vehicle in a pasture. When deputies arrived at the scene they made contact with a couple that had gotten their vehicle stuck in the pasture.
The male subject in the car was identified as Jared Schroeder who had an active warrant out of Gage County. While Schroeder was taken into custody, deputies found suspected methamphetamine in his his front pocket. Schroeder admitted that he had the methamphetamine to sell and was arrested for the Gage County Warrant as well as Driving Under Suspension and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
Bond was set at 10% of 15,000 and he remains in custody at the Jefferson County Jail. The female party was released from the scene.
