One Dead, One In Critical Condition After Shooting In Hebron

HEBRON –  One victim is dead and another in critical condition after a report of a shooting in Hebron early Saturday morning.   At approximately 3:25 a.m. the Thayer County Sheriff’s Office and Hebron Rescue were called to a residence in the 600 block of Jefferson Avenue in Hebron in reference to a reported shooting.

Upon arrival two victims were located. One victim was pronounced dead at the Thayer County Health Services shortly after arrival. The second victim was air lifted to another medical facility in critical condition.

The Thayer County Sheriff’s department along with the Nebraska State patrol have interviewed several individuals and are not releasing anymore information at this time.  Their only other comment was that this was not a random shooting, and there is no further threat to the public.
