Ohlde and Johnson Named Fairbury Elks Lodge Students of the Month

FAIRBURY – The Fairbury Elks Lodge presented two local students with the honor of being named Teenagers/Students of the Month.

Fairbury High School’s Macy Ohlde and Jacob Johnson received the honor.

Ohlde is a 4.0 student that has had a very successful softball and basketball career and also has been named Academic All-State three times entering her senior year. She is also the student council president.

Johnson is also a 4.0 student that has thrived on the football field, as well as the wrestling mat. He is a member of the student council and was also named to the Academic All-State list last year.

The Elk’s Lodge judges on the basis of an applicant’s character, leadership, community service, citizenship and scholastic abilities.
