NWS: 1-2 Inches of Blowing Snow Expected in the Area Overnight

OMAHA, Neb. – The National Weather Service in Omaha has told area residents to expect a couple of inches of blowing snow in the evening and early morning hours.

NWS says 1-2 inches of snow can be expected from 9 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m Tuesday. with wind gusts up from 45-55 MPH.

They have issued a winter weather advisory for much of northeast and east-central Nebraska, including Platte, Madison, Colfax, Boone, Stanton, Thurston, Cuming and Dodge County, among others.

They tell residents to plan on slick roads and the possibility of zero visibility while the snow is falling.
