Beatrice–Fair officials are happy so far with the participation in this year’s Gage County Fair and Expo. The five day event started on Wednesday and runs thru Sunday. Christina Lyons, who was helping to over see the projects and entries at the 4-H building, says many 4-H members have been busy over the past couple of months preparing for the fair…
“really neat things to see” :06
Lyons says it appears the participation numbers at this year’s fair are about the same in past fairs. Lyons says 4-H members have the opportunity to submit entries from photography to food projects.
“ton to see here” :11
Preliminary open class numbers appear to be up from past years. Open class coordinator Patty Folkerts says many people look forward each year to entering projects at the county fair.
“that kinda help that” :19
Folkerts says 4-hundred-88 people entered one or more entries in the open class division this week.
Folkerts, who has served as the open class coordinator at the fair for 14 years says a team of volunteers help make the open class section of the fair a success…
“we have a lot of good help” :18
Open class entries are located in the Merchants Hall and Ag Hall on the fairgrounds.
