Norris High Student seriously injured in crash

LANCASTER COUNTY, Neb. — The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office identified the people involved in an accident Sunday morning on Saltillo Road.

Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner said 17-year-old Brianna Titterington, or rural Roca is “in very critical condition” after suffering life-threatening injuries in the crash.

Wagner said Titterington, a Norris High School student, was driving westbound on Saltillo Road when her Chevy Malibu was struck by a pickup truck traveling eastbound. The truck was driven by 61-year-old Gene Hagstrom of Lincoln.

The accident happened just west of S 68th Street at 9:23 a.m. Sunday.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital.

No citations have been issued as LSO deputies continue investigating the cause of the accident. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor. Both drivers were wearing a seat belt.
