NORFOLK – Norfolk’s new mayor is continuing an Easter tradition in the city.
The 13th Annual Norfolk Prayer Breakfast was held at the Divots Devent Center on Thursday.
The tradition has been carried on through three Norfolk mayors now, with this year being the first for Josh Moenning.
Moenning says the event is a good opportunity for residents to reflect on how they can best serve their community.
“All faith traditions are represented here,” Moenning said. “I think it’s a chance for us to come together in the spirit and season of new life and renewal to reflect upon the many blessings that we receive in our community and also focusing on how we move forward to better serve others.”
While the event is hosted by the mayor, it’s actually set up and organized by the non-profit Christian Business Men’s Connection.
