Norfolk Man Injured in Construction Zone Accident

STANTON – One person has been hospitalized after an accident in a construction zone in Stanton County.

Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says it happened at about 3:30 p.m. Monday six miles east of Stanton on Golf Course Rd.

Unger says a pilot car driven by 57-year old Lewis Knapp of Norfolk struck an unattended pickup in a construction zone. Unger says Knapp’s car rolled onto its side.

He was extricated from the wreckage and taken to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk with unspecified injuries. The pickup is considered a total loss.
