BUTLER COUNTY, Neb. – A Norfolk man arrested in Butler County earlier this summer will head to court next week on a cocaine possession charge.
According to the court records, on the night of June 30th, 23-year-old Dino Alai was the passenger in a car pulled over on Highway 15, near 30 Rd. in Butler County.
The sheriffs office says in the affidavit, while a deputy was speaking with the driver in a sheriff office vehicle, another deputy was speaking to Alai, who was observed as restless, excited, talkative and seemed to have watery and blood-shot eyes.
The affidavit says Alai allowed the sheriff deputies to search the vehicle, to which he was the registered owner. The records say, a deputy found a baggie with cocaine inside the car.
Court records say, Alai immediately denied that the baggie was his.
According to the court documents, the driver, who was not cited, said the drug was also not his and since Alai is the registered owner of the car, he was charged with possession.
Alai is due in Butler County court on September 14th on the felony possession of cocaine charge.
