No Accidents, Only One Power Outage in Marshall County Thanks to Constant Effort

MARYSVILLE –  The rain continues to fall in Marysville, Kansas, but thanks to many working together, there has been minimal damage to this point.

Winter Storm Jupiter has only caused one power outage in Marshall County, and as of 11 a.m., the sheriff’s department reports no accidents. The power outage was a small one, only about 10 homes, in Bremen, Kansas.

It is a big thanks to many people, including General Manager of the Heritage Inn, Ricci Beikman. She and her family, including Zach and Jaclyn, spent the night in the hotel to take care of salting and sanding the parking lot. Currently, the parking lot is still slick, with ice forming, but it is nowhere near as bad as it could be.

She also said that people that are from Marysville, but live in the country, have checked into the hotel to help them get to work on Monday.
