BEATRICE – The Farmers Market sponsored by Main Street Beatrice is back for another season. Last night’s market was the second of the season…one that Main Street Executive Director Michael Sothan says may be the biggest one, yet.
:12 “great variety”
The market is held every Thursday from four p.m. until six-thirty p.m., in the parking lot at 8th and Court.
Sothan says many vendors have signed on for the entire season, but you can also pick and choose the weeks you want, for selling goods.
:18 “join us”
The early season is producing asparagus, rhubarb and other greens. Sothan says the types of farm grown goods being offered will be increasing as the market gets into late spring and early summer.
:08 “forward to it”
The Main Street Farmers Market will run through the second Thursday of October. During the early and late shoulder seasons, the market also offers jams, jellies, baked goods and arts and crafts.
