FAIRBURY – McNish Park in Fairbury has brand new playground equipment.
Installation of the equipment began about a week ago, and it’s now ready for use. The Fairbury City Council approved a request for new equipment in late summer.
City administrator Collin Biesler says the project cost about $33,000. That includes everything from shipping, the rubber mulch a ramp and other expenses.
The equipment was purchased from Sterling West in Gothenburg. Some of the old pieces of equipment remain in the park, including the swing sets and merry-go-round.
