Nebraska Democrats Still Looking For Candidate To Challenge Ricketts

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Democratic Party is still looking for a candidate to challenge Gov. Pete Ricketts in the 2018 election.

News Channel Nebraska reporter Joe Jordan says 15 months out, it’s not clear who might even be a potential choice.

:25     “…the near future.”

Jordan recently spoke with the head of the Nebraska Democratic Party, Jane Kleeb, and asked if money was an issue for her party.

:13     “…state legislative races.”

So far the only candidate who has declared he will run against Ricketts is former State Senator Bob Krist of Omaha, who left the Republican Party to run as an independent.
