GRAND ISLAND – A Nebraska City resident and 13-year Nebraska State Trooper has won first place at the Nebraska Inspector Championships.
Kris Hunzeker, who is a trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol at the Nebraska City office, won the state-wide competition that includes a personal interview, a table-top exercise and several hands-on inspections.
She will now have a chance to take home a bigger prize. She will be Nebraska’s lone representative at the North American Inspector Championships in Orlando, FL, in August.
This is the first time Hunzeker has won the Nebraska event.
