Murdock Man Suspected of Animal Cruelty Involving Horses

PLATTSMOUTH – A 52-year-old Murdock man is facing animal cruelty charges.

Cass County Sheriff Wm. Brueggemann said deputies responded to 5206 322nd St. in rural Murdock on Jan. 2 to investigate neglected horses.

Deputies discovered two malnourished horses along with three dead horses on the property, which is owned by Tim Tiedeman.

The two malnourished horses were seized by the Nebraska Humane Society.

The Cass County Emergency Management Agency is working with the Department of Environmental Quality regarding the dead horses.

Tiedeman, 52 of Murdock, was arrested for suspicion of felony cruelty to animals.
