LINCOLN, NE – The NSAA State Swimming and Diving Championships took place at the Bob Devaney Sports Center from Thursday-Saturday.
The Beatrice-Norris-Freeman-Fairbury team was in action with 13 total team members qualifying for the meet.
Sophomore Mikwena Lierman was the team’s lone medalist, placing 8th in all classes in the 50-freestyle. Her time of 24.99 is also a coop record.
The girls’ 200 medley relay of Mikwena and Mikasa Lierman, Crystal Craft and Maya Moran placed 14th overall and set a new coop team record with a time of 1:53:43.
Elsewhere, diver Camryn Wisnieski scored a 109.80 on her first five dives to place 31st on Thursday.
Turning to the boys’ side, senior Colton Starck placed 19th in the 100-fly with a time of 54.84. That was .97 seconds faster than his previous PR.
Elsewhere, the boys’ 400-free relay placed 21st with a time of 3:32.23, dropping 2.31 seconds off of their previous PR. This relay team includs Jacob Mason, R.J. Suey, Cameron Knepp and Colton Starck.
Finally, the boys 200-free relay placed 26th with a time of 1:36.32. This team included Mason, Suey, Knepp and Michael Walsh.
The Creighton Prep Boys won their 13th consecutive state title Saturday, while the Lincoln Southwest girls claimed the top prize for the fourth straight year.
