Mariah Cummings Mass of Christian Burial to be Held Thursday

SCHUYLER – A visitation and mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday and Thursday for 15-year-old Mariah Cummings of Octavia.

The first visitation will be held at Rosary-Kracl Funeral Chapel in David City on Wednesday, from 2 to 7 p.m. A second visitation will be held at Kracl Funeral Chapel in Schuyler on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with a mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Schuyler, says the funeral home.

Cummings recently completed her Freshman year at David City Public High School, where she participated in basketball, volleyball, and track, in addition to dance and FCA, says Kracl Funeral Chapels.

Cummings passed away in a car accident on Highway 15 on Thursday, said police. Others involved in the crash were treated for minor injuries, and everyone was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, said authorities.
