MERRICK COUNTY, Neb. – A man is behind bars after deputies say they found psychedelic mushrooms and over one ounce of marijuana inside his vehicle.
27-year-old Antonio Vargas-Flores is being held on two counts of drug possession with intent to deliver and one count of possession of pot with intent to deliver after being arrested last Friday in rural Merrick County.
The Merrick County Sheriffs Office say Vargas-Flores was initially arrested from a Platte County warrant, and when they searched his vehicle, they found illegal mushrooms, over an ounce of pot, and THC concentrate inside.
40 separate items of THC concentrate were spotted, according to authorities.
He was arrested on Highway 30 and 6th road, just southwest of Chapman.
A Denver address is listed for Vargas-Flores in court records, but the Merrick County Sheriff’s office says he is a Platte County resident.
He had a warrant out for his arrest in Platte County after failing to appear in court on two marijuauna related infractions.
His bond was set at $50,000.
