Man Arrested After Rolling Navigator Near Nebraska City

NEBRASKA CITY – A Weston, Mo., man was arrested Tuesday after rolling his Lincoln Navigator on the eastbound lanes of Highway 2.

A Nebraska State Patrol trooper responded to a dispatch report from Lincoln that a vehicle was all over the road. In an arrest affidavit, the trooper said he turned around on the Navigator near the weigh station at Nebraska City.

The trooper said he believed the vehicle to be speeding in the 65 mph zone and observed as it swerved over the center line. He said it came back over, went onto the shoulder and down an ditch embankment before rolling.

Nicholas Thompson, 30, was taken to CHI Health St. Mary’s for minor injuries. He was later booked at the Otoe County jail for suspicion of refusing to submit to testing, possession of marijuana and willful reckless driving.
