BEATRICE – Lower Big Blue Natural Resources District Officials are hoping the boil order for customers of the Wymore Rural Water District can be lifted, in the next few days.
NRD Manager Dave Clabaugh says water pressure has resumed at full strength and the tower located near Wymore has been re-filled, but some required testing of the water quality, remains.

On December 1st, a failure in a water main was discovered between a pump station and the NRD’s water tower, and the system lost pressure. Snowy conditions and considerable water in fields following heavy rains made tracing the leak difficult.

After the repairs were made, a boil water order was issued for customers of the rural district and the NRD provided bottled water for those who needed it. Clabaugh says the district has been treating the water with chlorine while the testing process goes on.
Clabaugh says it will be Wednesday at the earliest, that the NRD will find out if the boil order can be lifted.
The Wymore Rural Water District has about 230 customer connections that serve over 500 residents.
