Lower Big Blue NRD Has Board Vacancy

BEATRICE – The Lower Big Blue Natural Resources District is seeking to fill a vacancy in sub-district one, on the NRD’s Board of Directors.

NRD Manager Dave Clabaugh says the vacancy arose because former director Delferd Schlake moved out of the sub-district.

The NRD is accepting applications for the post.  Sub-District one includes northeast Gage County, part of the east half of Wilber Township in Saline County, and townships in Pawnee County.

Persons interested in applying for the position can obtain more detailed information on the sub-district boundary and an application, from the Lower Big Blue NRD Office, located on Dorsey Street in Beatrice.

Applications will be accepted until June 19th.   The person appointed will be up for election in November of 2020, with the term expiring in January of 2023.

The Lower Big Blue NRD has a 13-member board. Directors receive a small amount of money for each meeting attended and are reimbursed for expenses while on official NRD business.
