Ligouri Lists 190 Witnesses In Peru State Stabbing Case

AUBURN – Nemaha County Attorney Louie Ligouri has listed 190 witnesses in the assault case against former Peru State basketball player Jeffland Neverson.

An information charging assault, use of a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence was filed on Nov. 15. The information includes the names of 10 current or former basketball players and coach Eric Behrens. It also lists 18 football players.

Initial 9-1-1 dispatches to an off-campus incident described it as a fight between basketball and football players.

Injuries were also reported to football player Larry W. Hodnett, 24, and basketball player Anthony P. Hemingway.
