Omaha, NE.—Does Bob Krist think Gov. Pete Ricketts is afraid to debate him?
You decide. This is what Democrat Krist (see exclusive video above) told News Channel Nebraska’s Joe Jordan:
Krist: So where we stand right now is the governor has agreed to, or his campaign has agreed to, one debate. I have to wonder if he believes that I might be better at debating than he is.
Joe Jordan, NCN: Do you think the governor is afraid to debate you?
Krist: Oh, I don’t know you’d have to ask the governor that; I’ve seen him speak on a number of occasions he’s really good with a teleprompter.
Joe Jordan, NCN: That sounds like you think he’s afraid to debate you.
Krist: You said it Joe, I did not.
Krist wants at least three debates. For now Ricketts has agreed to one debate and two other joint appearances.
Asked by News Channel Nebraska if Ricketts would agree to more debates, Team Ricketts has not responded.
The first debate is scheduled for August 30 at the Nebraska State Fair.
