Kendig Keast Vice President Introduced at Monday Night’s City Council

COLUMBUS – The Columbus City council met on Monday night for the final time in May, and introduced the vice president of Kendig Keast, Aaron Tuley.

Kendig Keast is the organization from Texas that is going to be helping the city of Columbus with their comprehensive plan moving forward, that is set to help Columbus with transportation ideas in the future.

“We are kicking off this whole comprehensive planning and long range transportation planning effort. It’s about a 12 or 14 month effort. This week we are going to be meeting with a lot of stakeholders through listening sessions, focus groups. One-on-one meetings with department heads, we’ll also meet with the city council and planning committee at a joint workshop setting to hear what they think are the key issues, challenges, opportunities facing the community over the next 20 years,” said Tuley.

Although Tuley resides in Texas and is only here for the week to help kick off the plan, he will be back in Columbus relatively shortly and hopes to hear from the community at that time.

“I’m here until Thursday, but we’ll be back in a month or so to facilitate a community workshop that we hope everyone will attend during that time,” said Tuley.

Monday night marks what many hope is a successful relationship between Kendig Keast and the city of Columbus.
