K9 Unit Finds Pistols, Meth In Late-Night Traffic Stop

SIDNEY – Fremont County Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports a late-night arrest that has led to weapons and drug charges.

The sheriff says 29-year-old Jordan Michael Nielsen of Rock Port, Mo., was stopped by the Fremont County K9 unit at 11 p.m. on Highway 275 near Hamburg.

Investigators report finding two pistols, methamphetamine, marijuana, brass knuckles and drug paraphernalia.

The Atchison County Sheriff’s Office assisted. Nielsen was held at the Fremont County jail on a $4,300 cash bond.
