COLUMBUS – A juvenile was injured in an accident over the weekend, after their vehicle collided with a guard rail north of Columbus.
Platte County Sheriff Ed Wemhoff says the juvenile was the lone occupant of the 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier, that collided with a guard rail on Monastery Road north of Columbus. The accident was reported to the sheriff’s office at approximately 2:34 a.m. on Saturday to the location north of 385th Street.
Wemhoff says Creston Rescue transported the juvenile to the Columbus Community Hospital following the accident, and says the injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
The vehicle was totaled, and the damage to the guard rail has yet to be determined, according to reports.
