FAIRBURY, NE – Early Tuesday morning, the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office executed a search warrant at 1007 5th Street in Fairbury.
Information had been gathered by law enforcement in both Gage and Jefferson Counties on a residence that had illegal drugs in it. With the cooperation of the Gage County Sheriffs Office and Beatrice Police Department, the search warrant was issued.
After entry was made into the residence at 6 a.m. Tuesday, 56-year-old Darrell Schultz was detained and arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The search warrant yielded suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. A large amount of cash was also seized from Schultz, who’s being held in the Jefferson County jail on felony charges.
This case remains under investigation.
