It’s the Great Pumpkin Festival Weekend Southeast Nebraska

CRETE – The Great Pumpkin Festival Weekend is officially here in Southeast Nebraska, and it’s loaded with activities all weekend long.

Beginning on Friday, the Pumpkin Blitz takes place from 4-6:30 p.m. and T.J. Sokol Terror on 12th Street Haunted Houses go from 7 p.m. until midnight.

Saturday’s festivities all begin at 8 a.m. with the Backpack Fun Run. Registration begins at 7:30 p.m. and there will also be a Backpack Pancake Feed beginning at 8 a.m. Both events take place at the United Church of Christ with all proceeds going to the Crete Backpack Program. Other events include a Crete Community BBQ at 11 a.m., a Husker Football Party at 2:30 p.m., the movie “Storks” at Isis Theater at 7 p.m. and more haunted houses.

Sunday all begins with the Presentation of the Colors at 11 a.m. The day is loaded with things to do including a Walk-Ability Treasure Map, carnival games, a musical performance by Paige Arnold, Doane University Athletes Meet and Greet, the Union Bank & Trust Scarecrow Competition Giveaway and much more.
