Independent Living Services Expanded To Five Counties

LINCOLN – The League of Human Dignity is expanding independent living services to southeast Nebraska.

Services intended to help people with disabilities are being offered in Pawnee, Nemaha, Johnson and Otoe counties. The center has served Lancaster County since 1971.

Federally-mandated core services are offered:

  • information and referral
  • independent living skills training
  • peer support
  • advocacy
  • transition

People served are typically transitioning from nursing homes to independent living, or  from school to higher education or the workforce.
