House Fire Left $290,000 in Damage

COLUMBUS – A Columbus home suffered hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage after a fire on Tuesday.

Columbus Fire Officials say the damage to the home was estimated at $290,000. Crews were called to the fire at approximately 4:46 p.m. and remained on scene for roughly 2 hours and 50 minutes.

Several trucks were dispatched to the location, and the State Fire Marshall’s Office was on scene to investigate the fire, says local officials. The cause of the flame was not yet listed in the fire report.

The home is located on Lakewood Drive in west Columbus.
