Holiday Door Ribbons Supporting Community Youth

FAIRBURY – You may notice a lot of holiday decorations this time of the year, including some red ribbons.

Local businesses are participating in purchasing Kiwanis Holiday Ribbons to place on their doors. The ribbons are only $12 and the proceeds collected goes towards multiple youth projects in the Fairbury community.

Dr. Jason Grant of Fairbury Dental Associates and Sharon Priefert of the Fairbury Chamber of Commerce hung up a couple of door ribbons on Wednesday. They are hoping more local businesses will participate this holiday season.

Priefert says the funds raised last year from the holiday ribbons helped programs like Camp Jefferson, the Little League Baseball team and the Easter Egg Hunt.

Kiwanis serves children and gives them a chance to stay involved, develop, learn about safety and much more.

If you’re interested in purchasing a holiday door ribbon for your business or home, please contact Sharon Priefert at the Fairbury Chamber of Commerce for a form.
