AUBURN, NE – Hear Nebraska, a non-profit organization celebrating Nebraska-based music, announced details about it’s third annual “Good Living Tour” hitting the road this summer.
The 2017 tour will visit eight Nebraska towns in six weekends in June, July and August. The eight greater communities are Hebron, Auburn, Imperial, Red Cloud, McCook, Norfolk, Lyons and Hastings. The shows are free and all-ages are welcome.
Janny Crotty, who is helping organize the Auburn stop, says Hear Nebraska started the “Good Living Tour” to fight the perception Nebraska is old, flat and boring.
“If you’re going to have magnetic and attractive communities, you got to have kind of that quality-life piece, the cultural amenities, and things to do. It’s just an effort to kind of push back against that notion there’s not cool stuff to do in rural areas or there’s nothing for young people to do.”
The Good Living Tour will stop at Legion Memorial Park in Auburn on Saturday, June 10. The show will feature funk, rock, christian folk and country music from Lucas Kellison & The Undisco Kids, Freakabout, Daniel Christian and Ian Miller. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with music starting at 7 p.m.
