A wind advisory remains in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday for southeast Nebraska, southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri.
Northwest winds will increase through tonight (Thursday) but will peak in intensity during the day Friday before gradually diminishing Friday evening.
Sustained from the northwest at generally 25 to 35 mph with gusts to around 45 mph.
Driving may be difficult, especially for high profile and lightweight vehicles. In addition, light snow accumulation may occur in areas mainly north of Highway 30 Friday morning, which combined with the wind could result in mainly minor visibility reductions.
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or greater are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
