Omaha, NE.—Gas prices continue to drop across Nebraska, some drivers—especially in and around Omaha— now seeing prices below two dollars a gallon.
The statewide average for regular unleaded in Nebraska is $2.21 a gallon.
Cross the river into Iowa and it’s even cheaper, at $2.14.
The drop in prices tied directly to an oversupply of crude oil, as production in the US has increased by some 60 million barrels over the last four months.
Triple A believes “fuel prices will continue to retreat…and…remain extremely favorable for motorists…” through the holidays.
