BEATRICE – The Gage County Relay for Life, an American Cancer Society fundraiser is coming up April 29th and organizers say there’s still time to support the event held at the Gage County Fairgrounds. It will be held from noon until 10 p.m.
Donations can be made to individual registered walkers taking part in the event or by going online, at
Coordinator for the Gage County Relay, Corinne Koch says team captains are asked to bring their team’s donations, luminary sacks and list of luminary names to Bank Night, Tuesday, April 25th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds. T-shirts can be picked up at that time, for registered walkers. Luminarias honoring persons who have battled cancer are available from participants, for a $10 donation.
Making presentations at the Relay will be Dennis Byars, Laureen Riedesul, Alison Leonard and Kathy Steinkamp. Pre-registered cancer survivors will attend a luncheon hosted by Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center.

This will be the 20th Relay for Life Event in Beatrice.
