BEATRICE – A collision between a truck and a car, sixteen miles north of Beatrice, injured one of the drivers, Monday.
Gage County Sheriff’s deputies went to the scene of the wreck at around 4:50 p.m., Monday. The accident involved two northbound vehicles…a semi-tractor-trailer driven by 57-year-old James Greenfield, of Lincoln….and a 2006 Ford Taurus driven by 60-year-old Kofi Amoabin, of Bolingbrook, Illinois.
The collision happened at the junction of U.S. Highway 77 and Nebraska Highway 41.
Deputies are still investigating details of the accident. Amoabin was taken to a Lincoln hospital for treatment of injuries. Greenfield was not hurt.
Fire and rescue personnel from Cortland were sent to the scene.
