Beatrice–The 2018 Gage County Fair and Expo wrapped up Sunday night ending the five day event that featured 4-H and FFA livestock shows, country music entertainers and auto racing. Fair officials announced that approximately 30-thousand people attended the annual fair. Weigand says fair officials were pleased with attendance numbers at the grandstand shows. The fair opened last Wednesday night with the duo Two Way Crossing and finished with the racing program last night. As in past fairs, Weigand says the big draw of the five nights was the Saturday’s Eve of Destruction event…

The fair wrapped up last night with stock car racing at the grandstand where close to 14-hundred people attended.
Dates for next year’s fair have not been set yet. Again, this year the fair featured the Wagner Carnival which Weigand says the fair is currently negotiating with for next year’s fair…

Monday is clean-up day at the fairgrounds. Today numerous 4-H and FFA students along with families and volunteers are busy cleaning up the grounds and livestock buildings.
