The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Missouri River at Brownville and Rulo.
The area impacted includes Nemaha and Richardson counties and Atchison County in Missouri.
The river was three feet below flood stage at Rulo at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The river is forecast to rise a half foot above the flood stage of 17 feet by early Thursday afternoon and fall below flood stage by Friday morning.
Agricultural lowlands will be impacted on both sides of the river.
The Brownville warning also forecast lowland flooding from Tuesday evening to late Friday.
The river was 1.6 feet below flood stage at 9:15 a.m. today. It is expected to crest up to a foot and a half above the flood stage of 33 feet.
