Flash Flood Watch for Southeast Nebraska

Flash Flood Watch in effect through Wednesday morning…

The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of south central Nebraska,
including the following areas, Clay, Fillmore, Nuckolls, and
Thayer.

* Through Wednesday morning

* multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected to produce heavy
rain late through tonight. One to three inches of rain is
expected over portions of the area with locally heavier amounts
possible. Rainfall rates in excess of one inch per hour are also
possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions…

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
