Omaha, NE.—One prediction, two totally different reactions.
That’s the long and short of Project FiveThirtyEight’s look into the Bacon-Eastman race for Congress in Omaha.

Number’s guru Nate Silver’s forecast finds Democrat Kara Eastman with a 58 per cent chance of winning on Election Day compared to GOP Congressman Don Bacon’s 42 per cent. That makes the race, in effect, a toss up.
And while Team Eastman is touting the prediction Bacon’s response is a reminder that, just hours before the polls opened on Election Day 2016, FiveThirtyEight predicted that Hillary Clinton had a 71 per cent chance of winning.
