Five Officers Joining Area Departments After Graduation Friday in G.I.
The 46 graduates of the 194th Basic Class

GRAND ISLAND – Five new law enforcement officers will be joining area department following their graduation from the 194th Basic Session.

The Schuyler Police Department will be getting two new officers in Brandon Guern and Jonathan Marr, while Platte County will welcome Deputy Jason Harnisch. Butler County will also welcome a new deputy in Dillon Hicks, while Polk County will be adding Sandra Waller as their newest deputy, according to a press release.

Graduates completed 643 hours of training during a 16 week program, and a total of 46 graduates will be honored at the ceremony. The ceremony will take place at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center in Grand Island at 3600 N. Academy Road, and is set to begin at 11 a.m., according to a press release.
