NORFOLK—Fifty years in business and Dr. Herbert Feidler, M.D. says he feels they’ve got a good start.
Feidler Eye Clinic in Norfolk, Neb. celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and hosted an open house on Thursday.
Dr. Feidler and his wife Sondra were open for business in 1967 in their first office on the second floor of the old Granada Theatre. They have since grown into a family operation and have loved serving other families in what they call a great town.
“I’ve had patients second, third, and even fourth generation and that’s quite satisfying to have that type of relationship over that period of time, and that wouldn’t exist in a huge town,” Dr. Feidler said.
The Feidler’s have loved raising their three daughters in northeast Nebraska and watching the community grow. Their middle daughter, Dr. Ann Feidler-Klein, O.D. and her husband Dr. Jeff Klein, O.D. met in college and have worked at the eye clinic for 18 years. The husband and wife team hope to stay up-to-date with the latest technology in surgery, glaucoma management, and full scope eye care and eye wear while providing customer service to community members of all generations.
Dr. Feidler-Klein said, “We plan to continue on my father’s tradition of dedication and commitment to his patients and to the field of optometry and ophthalmology.”
Dr. Ann Feilder-Kline said she feels blessed to work with both her father and her husband, to which Dr. Jeff Klein feels allows the staff to serve patients with a family-oriented perspective.
Sondra Feidler is thankful for the support they’ve received and is proud of her husband Herbert for his work throughout the last 50 years.
“It’s been a wonderful journey and we plan to stay on it much longer,” Sondra said.
