NORFOLK — Countless ag producers across the state are in mourning this week following the death of former Farm Bureau President Bryce Neidig. He died last Thursday at the age of 86.
The farmer from Madison served as Farm Bureau President from 1981 through 2002, the second-longest tenure of any president. He was elected to the American Farm Bureau Board of Directors in 1988 and served until his retirement.
Neidig married his wife Shirley in 1952 and is survived by her and their four children Neal, Kim, Kay, and Van. Neal and Van are the fifth generation to farm their Madison County land. Thanks to Van for his time.
