Falls City Public Schools Settles with Woman for $350,000 following Bleacher Injury

FALLS CITY  – The Falls City Public School District has settled with a woman after she was injured stepping down from bleachers during a game.

FCPS settled with Teresa Pfister for $350,000 after she was injured stepping down from the bleachers at an event in April 2014 at Falls City Middle School. The settlement is paid by the school’s insurance provider, ALICAP.

The settlement releases Falls City schools of liability in the incident.

The injury occurred on bleachers that have now been replaced. Falls City High School currently uses the same type of bleachers that were at the middle school when the injury happened, but the school district is also planning to replace those bleachers by next school year.

The old bleachers were installed in the late 1970’s.
