FAIRBURY – After an overwhelming response by employers wanting to be a part of the job fair in Fairbury, the location was moved to a bigger location. The response from job seekers at the event yesterday was just as good. Kari Janssen, Workforce Coordinator with the Nebraska department of labor said that it was one of the larger job fairs they have done in Southeast Nebraska in regards to employers as well as job seekers. Over 50 job seekers attended the event, visited with employers, completed applications, and scheduled upcoming interviews.
If you were unable to attend the job fair, Janssen says that you can always stop by their Beatrice office located in Adams Hall on the SCC Campus Monday through Friday 8 to 5. Another great way to find jobs is to visit the Nebraska Department of Labor website where you can register as a job seeker, see positions available anywhere in the state, or localize the search to the area you’re willing to work.
