Fairbury Pool Committee Asking For Public Support

FAIRBURY – The Fairbury Pool Steering Committee is asking for the public to help secure a state grant to support the pool project.

The grant could provide more than $300,000 toward construction of a new pool in Fairbury. Residents voted in February to approve a bond issue up to $5 million for the project.

A key part of the grant application is for the city to collect letters of support from the community. Fairbury is looking to collect as many letters as possible by Wednesday, May 24.

Residents can write their own letter or fill in the blanks of a sample letter the city has provided, which can be downloaded here.

The letters can be hand delivered to the city offices at 612 D Street or mailed to P.O. Box 554.
