Eve of Destruction

BEATRICE – Over four-thousand people attended the Eve of Destruction show at the Gage County Fair and Expo on Saturday, which was the largest event-crowd in Beatrice since the Mark Chestnut concert in 1996 drew an attendance of over 41-hundred spectators.

The Eve of Destruction began with the children taking center-stage in the Power Wheels demolition derby.

In the Roll-Over contest, Jeremy Ziegler in his yellow 93 car – dethroned three-time champion, Brock McDougall – who drove the blue 94 vehicle, which caught fire on his first roll-over attempt.

The Trailer Races provided extreme demolition and crashes for the spectators, which Andrew Lewis won, finishing in front of the team of Brent Schlake and Colin Hartig, and the team Lance Lang and Craig Borcher.

The massive crowd was entertained with a night of extreme demolition and crashes.
